Friday, 15th May 2026 – Caterham has revealed its newest limited-production model, the Seven Nürburgring Edition, created to honour 100 years of the world’s most iconic and unforgiving racing circuit.
Just 100 examples of the Nürburgring Edition will be offered to customers worldwide. Depending on the market, the model is based on either the Seven 420R or Seven 340R, with UK pricing starting from £48,995 (including VAT).
At the heart of the car is a bespoke race suspension package developed exclusively for this edition in collaboration with Bilstein. Using the company’s sophisticated vertical dynamics test rig at the Bilstein Test Facility, engineers fine-tuned the setup around the unique challenges of the Nürburgring. The result is a suspension system engineered to deliver outstanding composure and performance on both public roads and the racetrack, crafted specifically for this special anniversary model.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine, the Nürburgring Edition produces 210bhp at 7,600rpm, achieving an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 375bhp per tonne. Combined with a five-speed gearbox, it sprints from 0-60mph in just 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 136mph.
Complementing the bespoke Bilstein chassis setup is a range of exclusive visual enhancements, both inside and out. As an officially licensed Nürburgring product, the car proudly carries the circuit’s distinctive branding and logo, along with paint finishes inspired by its signature colour palette. Buyers can choose from three dedicated Nürburgring shades — Verkehrsrot (Traffic Red), Achatgrau (Agate Grey), and Basaltgrau (Basalt Grey) — while bespoke paint options remain available for those seeking further individuality.
Additional exterior highlights include a Nürburgring red track-day roll bar, a Nürburgring mesh grille featuring a dual-colour Seven logo, and a 620-style nose cone equipped with carbon aerodynamic whiskers. The chassis is finished in a striking Gunmetal Grey, while carbon front wings, the Black Pack package (including a black windscreen frame, headlamp bowls, and exhaust heat shield), a composite aeroscreen, and LED rear light clusters complete the exterior specification.
Inside the cockpit, leather-trimmed seats feature Nürburgring embroidery and contrasting red stitching, a theme that continues along the transmission tunnel. The interior is further enhanced by carbon-fibre panels, four-point road harnesses, and sequential shift lights designed to heighten the driving experience.
As a finishing detail, every vehicle is fitted with an individually numbered plaque, marking its place among the 100 cars produced.
For 100 years, the legendary 12.9-mile ribbon of asphalt known affectionately as the ‘Green Hell’ has stood in the Eifel Mountains of western Germany as the ultimate test of skill, courage, and engineering excellence.
With its dramatic elevation changes, constantly shifting camber, and 73 demanding corners, the Nürburgring has long served as a proving ground where Caterham’s road and race machines have demonstrated their capabilities. Among the marque’s most memorable achievements was an impressive 11th-place finish in the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2002, delivered through standout performances from Chris Cooper, Chris Harris, Clive Richards, and Peter Haynes.
Trevor Steel, Senior Vice President of Operations, Caterham Cars, said:
“For a century, this circuit has embodied the very principles that define the Seven — balance, precision, and a driving experience unlike any other.
“Our goal was to capture the essence of the ‘Ring, shaping every aspect of the car to reflect the circuit’s distinctive character and relentless demands. Equally at home on the road and on the track, the Seven Nürburgring Edition stands as a fitting tribute to one of the most famous and revered circuits in the world.”
The Caterham Seven Nürburgring Edition will make its public debut at the forthcoming 2026 ADAC 24 Hours Nürburgring.
Fans attending the event will have the opportunity to view the model at the Caterham Nürburgring dealership as well as on the Bilstein stand within the paddock throughout the race weekend.
