Exciting news has arrived! Caterham has achieved a significant milestone as Project V, for the first time in its history, made it to the shortlist for the Best Exterior Design category at the Car Design News People Awards. The event took place at The Londoner Hotel on Thursday, December 7th.

Since its grand debut at Goodwood in July 2023, Project V has consistently captivated admirers with its striking and elegant design. This isn’t just our claim; the proof lies in the Instagram comments, where enthusiasts echo our sentiments. It appears that the elite in the realm of car design share our admiration.

Caterham found itself in esteemed company among nominees such as Range Rover, Ford, Volvo, Hyundai, and Citroen for the prestigious Best Exterior Design Award of 2023. Now in its 10th year, these awards celebrate the creative genius behind automotive designs, shedding light on the people who breathe life into these vehicles. The judging panel comprises designers from various OEMs, offering invaluable insights into the design process.

Anthony Jannarelly, Chief Designer, expressed his pride in Caterham’s industry recognition, particularly in the brand’s 50th anniversary year. He remarked, “Securing this industry recognition for Caterham is a source of immense pride for our team.” He went on to highlight the exceptional response Project V has garnered since its unveiling at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Jannarelly also acknowledged the collaboration with Italdesign, which played a vital role in bringing Project V to fruition.

The shortlist for the Best Exterior Design Team included notable names such as Mahindra Advanced Design Europe, SAIC Design UK – MG Cyberster, Range Rover Sport SV, Ford of Europe, Volvo EX30, Citroen Oli, and Hyundai Global.
