Caterham’s New HQ in Dartford
Caterham, the renowned British sports car manufacturer, has officially opened its new headquarters in Dartford, Kent. This move marks a significant milestone in the company’s 50-year history. The new facility, located in the Dartford X industrial park, spans 54,000 square feet and represents a multi-million-pound investment by Caterham’s owners, VT Holdings.
Increased Production Capacity
The new headquarters is set to boost Caterham’s production capacity by 50%, allowing the company to produce up to 750 units annually. This increase is facilitated by the state-of-the-art facilities, which include the latest paint booths, an engine shop, a parts warehouse, and 33 individual bays where each car builder is responsible for the complete assembly of a Caterham Seven.
Enhanced Customer Experience
Caterham’s new HQ is not just about increased production. The facility is designed to enhance the overall customer experience. It will host factory tours, open days, vehicle handovers, and other events, providing enthusiasts with a closer look at the brand’s operations.
