A new era of Caterham Motorsport

Caterham Motorsport is undergoing its most significant transformation in over thirty years. We’re thrilled to announce that Caterham Cars Ltd will be partnering with the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC), one of the UK’s largest motorsport organizations, as our official club for motorsport events starting from the 2023 season onwards.

For decades, our motorsport championships have been under the umbrella of the British Racing & Sports Car Club (BRSCC). Thanks to Caterham’s innovative formula, our five championships have seen remarkable growth, welcoming drivers of all budgets and experience levels. Now, with BARC, we’re poised to elevate our championships to new heights while maintaining our successful trajectory.

BARC boasts a rich history spanning 110 years, organizing prestigious events like the British Touring Car Championship, the MINI Challenge Championships, and the Porsche Carrera Cup (GB).

Both Caterham and BARC are committed to preserving our celebrated format, known for its large grids, affordable running costs, and thrillingly close racing. With closely regulated rules ensuring a level playing field, combined with extensive manufacturer support, our championships offer some of the most competitive racing in motorsport.

Currently, our championships boast nearly 200 drivers, including the highly successful ‘Caterham Academy’ novice-exclusive series, which has transformed over 1,200 individuals into racing drivers since its inception in 1995. Building on the success of the Academy, we’ve established a ladder of championships, ranging from Roadsport to our flagship series, the national-level Caterham Seven Championship UK.

Our championships have also served as a launching pad for notable figures in motorsport. BTCC driver Ollie Jackson, British GT champions Flick Haigh and Jon Barnes, and Olympic legend Sir Chris Hoy all began their racing careers with Caterham.

BARC not only organizes 30 club race meetings each season but also manages three circuits and two Hillclimb venues, in addition to providing sporting services for major events at Goodwood.
